In connection with the exhibition Fristaden København? at exhibitionspace INK in Copenhagen the same year, the power was handed over to the people, and a vote was carried out among the visitors concerning where the monument should ideally be installed. After repeated attempts to reach an agreement with the institution, this donation was ultimately not even rejected, but simply ignored.
