In connection with the exhibition Fristaden København? at exhibitionspace INK in Copenhagen the same year, the power was handed over to the people, and a vote was carried out among the visitors concerning where the monument should ideally be installed. The winning suggestion appointed a place in front of the new Copenhagen opera, built by Danish oil-magnat A.P. Møller and donated to the city.
After repeated attempts to reach an agreement with the institution, this donation was ultimately not even rejected, but simply ignored.

The Future
Having endured close to four years of temporal locations, this feature has eventually been made a permanent one through the desicion that the monument will remain a mobile. The establishment of a fund to finance it’s perpertual mobility is under construction, and the monument will in the future be relocated on a yearly basis, confronting different institutions and establishments with the problematics of power and history-writing.
