The production of Pin-Up Calendar 2000 was made possible by the generous contribution and cooperation of the employees at the media-firm Jungerstedt & Brostrøm in Copenhagen.
Invited through the exhibition Omstilling to exhibit at the premises of the firm, my intention was to make a piece that was directly intergrated with this particular place of work and that adressed the potential of playfulness and eroticism that lies beneath the surface of any social context – no matter how rational the framework.
The photographs have the official set-up of each co-worker at his or her desk, made ambiguous through their composition and through the addition of different objects to the scene – thus suggesting possible activities taking place behind the closed doors of the offices. The different scenarios featured in Pin-Up Calendar 2000 is the result of a dialogue with the participating employees; in some cases based on their idéas and in some cases on mine.
