Strategies Of Magic #1

Strategies Of Magic #1 was a collaboration with artist and musician Cecilie Beck Kronborg and was presented at the cultural platform basso in Berlin in the summer of 2011.

Strategies Of Magic is a lecture performance which discusses the concept of magic in relation to political and philosophical questions regarding power structures, hierarchies of knowledge, identity and gender. Here, the lecture is intertwined with poetry, music and magic where the purpose is to reveal rather than disguise the trick. Through the examination of the difference between trickery and transformation, this piece aims to bring out the human potential of making the impossible possible.
