The Hustle - a Manuscript for Eight Voices
2022

The Hustle is a radio play about a city in transformation and the attempts of its inhabitants to cope with existence when familiar surroundings change.

Seven people, randomly brought together in a convenience store are confronted with each-other in the middle of the chaos. Here, opinions are exchanged regarding memory, fractured lines of sight, gentrification, phantom pain, neoliberalism and what happens to the body’s internalized choreography in an altered physical reality. The work contains distressing elements, strong language and descriptions of violence. Any resemblance to real persons is purely coincidental.

The Hustle was developed for the Gothenburg International Biennial for Contemporary Art and Västlänken.
The piece will be available at various sites around Gothenburg until 2028.
In an interview for GIBCA, I speak more about The Hustle here
